Account Blocked. Cannot start new instances

0

I've been using AWS for a good half a year without any issues, but after spinning up several new instances I received this automated email from AWS yesterday:
"
Subject: Action Required: Irregular activity in your AWS account
Severity: Urgent
Correspondence: Dear AWS customer,

Your AWS Account may be compromised. Please review the following notice and take immediate action to secure your account.
"

And now when I try to start my instance I am shown with this notification:
"This account is currently blocked and not recognized as a valid account. Please contact aws-verification@amazon.com if you have questions."

And of course, both AWS Support and aws-verification@amazon.com have not replied after one full day. Does AWS even have support staff these days?
