How to revert RDS Aurora provisioned to serverless v1

0

I'm about to change my aurora from serverless v1 to a provisioned instance

Using this guide: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonRDS/latest/AuroraUserGuide/aurora-serverless.modifying.html#aurora-serverless.modifying.convert

It says to do this:

aws rds modify-db-cluster \
    --db-cluster-identifier sample-cluster \
    --engine-mode provisioned \
    --allow-engine-mode-change \
    --db-cluster-instance-class db.r5.xlarge

But let's say anything goes wrong, how can I revert to serverless v1?

Btw, the guide doesn't say that you need AWS CLI v2 to run this modify commands.

Hello.

Aurora Serverless v1 will no longer be available for new creation after January 8, 2025.
Therefore, if you change from Aurora Serverless v1 to provisioned, I don't think you can go back to Aurora Serverless v1.
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonRDS/latest/AuroraUserGuide/aurora-serverless.modifying.html

Starting January 8th, 2025, customers will no longer be able to create new Aurora Serverless v1 clusters or instances with either the AWS Management Console or the CLI. For information about the migration process, see Upgrading from an Aurora Serverless v1 cluster to Aurora Serverless v2.
