As of the latest available information, Provisioned Timestream Compute Units (TCUs) for Amazon Timestream are currently only available in the Asia Pacific (Mumbai) region.
The Provisioned TCU feature allows users to allocate a fixed number of TCUs to their account, ensuring predictable performance and cost for queries. This can be particularly helpful in addressing throttling issues that you're experiencing with on-demand mode.
Having said that, I would like to thank you for providing this valuable service feedback. I have submitted your feature request on behalf to the service team. While I cannot comment on when this feature may be released, I suggest you monitor our What's New and AWS Blog pages for any announcements of new features OR to contact AWS Support directly for any potential updates or workarounds specific to your use case.
In the meantime, if you're experiencing throttling issues with on-demand mode, you might want to consider optimizing your queries, implementing retries in your application, or reaching out to AWS Support for guidance on how to best manage your current workload within the existing limitations.
