Connection problem between Logo 8.3 and AWS

0

When the connection test between the PLC and the AWS is carried out, an error message appears "The DNS server cannot be accessed. Check the BM LOGO gateway to make sure it is connected to the internet" the switch gateway has been checked and It is different from the router gateway so the way it is connected is PLC-switch-router. How should one proceed in these cases in which there are different gateways between these elements?

Hi Solve-rd,

from the error message you posted your Logo 8.3 seems to have problems with the DNS resolution. Before it can reach "AWS" the related service must be resolved in DNS. Can you check on the Logo if the DNS resolution for the AWS service is working correctly?

Your Logo must also be able to create a network connection to the related AWS service.

Cheers,
Philipp

  • Yes, the logo connects to AWS without problems when it has a direct connection to the router because it has no problem with the gateway. However, when connecting with the logo to a switch and followed by a router (logo-switch-router) this message appears because the gateways of both the switch and the router are very different. By the way, the network does not have any DNS
