An Error Has Occurred when creating WorkSpaces

0

I created a WorkSpace using quick setup, and everything went fine. When I tried to use connect to the WorkSpace using a client, I realized I had chosen the wrong protocol, and I didn't know how to change it, so I deleted the WorkSpace and started from the beginning. Again, using quick setup, I filled in the exact same values as the last time, but this time I chose different protocol. Once I clicked the Create button, I got an error "An Error Has Occurred. If you continue to experience an issue contact the AWS Support Team on the community forums and via AWS Premium Support at: AWS Support Center".

I tried to delete the directory, IAM role workspaces_DefaultRole and VPCs that the quick setup created on the first try, but that didn't help, I'm still getting the same error.

Did you alsto try to release the Elastic IP address used for the NAT gateway?

BTW for future you cna also change the protocol by migrating the workspace https://docs.aws.amazon.com/workspaces/latest/adminguide/migrate-workspaces.html

Thank you for your response, and thank you for the tip of migrating the protocol! I didn't try to delete the Elastic IP address. At the end, as I had to get forward with the testing, I ended up successfully creating the WorkSpace using regular setup instead of quick setup, and it was not too difficult. If anyone is struggling with the same issue, I suggest trying to do the same.
