Instance reachability check failed

I can't log onto my ec2 instance. It's been over 24 hours. Can anyone help? I have code and data on the instance that I don't want to risk getting erased. I even tried filing a support case but no response over 24 hours, and I didn't even get an email confirmation. What is going on?
