Billing question: Amazon QuickSight and Amazon Q charges with support case still unassigned

0

Hello AWS Community, I am currently learning and experimenting with AWS services and recently noticed unexpected charges related to Amazon QuickSight on my account. I opened a billing support case through the AWS Support Center, but after several days the case status still shows “Unassigned,” so I wanted to ask for guidance here.

According to my billing dashboard, the charges are as follows: December 1 – December 31, 2025 Amazon QuickSight Author Pro (Enterprise) – USD 40 – Paid

January 1 – January 31, 2026 Amazon QuickSight Author Pro (Enterprise) – USD 40 – Paid

February 1 – February 28, 2026 Amazon Q in QuickSight – USD 250 QuickSight Author Pro – USD 40 Total – USD 290 – Paid

March 1 – March 31, 2026 Current pending charges – USD 63.53

The QuickSight service was originally enabled for evaluation, but I did not actively build dashboards, connect datasets, or use the Amazon Q features. I was also not aware that enabling Amazon Q in QuickSight would incur a fixed monthly fee even without active usage.

After noticing the charges, I opened a billing support case and disabled QuickSight to prevent any further billing.

I completely understand AWS pricing policies and that services can have subscription-based charges. However, since this account is primarily for learning purposes and the service was not intentionally used, I am hoping AWS billing support might review the case and consider a courtesy adjustment if possible.

If anyone from AWS or the community has suggestions on the best way to proceed or escalate the billing case, I would sincerely appreciate your advice.

Thank you very much for your time and support. Support Case ID : *****************
