S3 sync command is using 90% of CPU of the server

Hello There,

I have S3 sync script in the server, but when the script is running it is consuming the 80 % -90% of CPU of the server.

Below is my script;

#!/bin /bash
####################################################################
LOCALPATH="/var/www/html"
DATE=$(date +%d-%m-%Y)
echo $DATE
S3=backup
S3LOCATION="folder-backup"
###################################################################
cd $LOCALPATH
/usr/local/bin/aws s3 sync . s3://$S3/$S3LOCATION/$DATE/

My server is having 2 vCPU and 8Gib Ram and the HDD size is 50
the utilization of HDD is 13GB

Can yo please suggest why CPU is reaching so high at the time of s3 sync in the server

Hello
Here is a link that talks about CLI configuration. See if playing with some of the values for max concurrent request, multipart-threshold or multipart-chunksize helps

https://docs.aws.amazon.com/cli/latest/topic/s3-config.html
