Elastic Beanstalk fails to generate stack for The Things Network

0

Following the Quick Start guide for The Things Network integration with AWS IoT: https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/docs/applications/aws/quick-start.html, I keep getting an odd failure for a resource that should be correct. Specifically, I get the following error during the AWS::ElasticBeanstalk::ConfigurationTemplate step:

No Solution Stack named '64bit Amazon Linux 2018.03 v2.10.0 running Go 1.11.5' found. (Service: AWSElasticBeanstalk; Status Code: 400; Error Code: InvalidParameterValue; Request ID: ...

According to this page: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/elasticbeanstalk/latest/platforms/platforms-supported.html#platforms-supported.go , this is the correct version of Linux/Go.

The complete template can be seen here: https://s3.amazonaws.com/thethingsnetwork/builds/integration-aws/dist/cloudformation.template .

I have opened an issue with TTN: https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/forum/t/lorawan-academy-aws-stack-error/21333 , but this seems more like an issue on the AWS side.

Can anyone suggest a solution or the next step to investigate?

johan at TTN discovered it was an error in the AWS documentation. It has been fixed.
