Using RTMP Server

Hello, I'm new to using this service, so apologies if my question is DUMB. :-) I'm using RTMP Server to push video from my GoPro to OBS. I have about a 3 to 5 second lag. Is there any way in reducing this time?

latency is going to be normal depending on the wifi connection speeds and your bitrate. Do you know what bitrate you are streaming at and what type of wifi signal you are using? (ie 5 or 2.5)

You can take down the bitrate quality and the resolution you are streaming at to see how that affects the latency to start.
