If you do not name your gateways by location or have asset tags on the gateway that correspond with the name on the app there two ways I can think of two ways to locate a gateway:
-
Through lights: If the Monitron Gateway is not connected is attempting to the network you will be able to identify if by a slow flashing orange light. If the Gateway is not commissioned or not configured you can identify it by slow orange and blue flashing lights. You can view the details of all the light indications for the Ethernet Gateway and the Wi-Fi Gateway from the documentations.
-
Through the QR code: You can scan the QR code on the back of a Gateway from the app as described in the documentation. This will give you the Gateway ID and MAC address you can compare the ID with the known physical ID of the gateway you are trying to locate.
Both methods would require you to check each gateways one by one physically. I would recommend to also rename the gateways by location to make it easier to locate in the future. I hope this helps.
