Q Developer Pro Subscription

If you're trying to create an Amazon Q Developer Pro subscription in your personal AWS account and not seeing users or groups in the Q Developer dashboard, there are a few things to check:

First, ensure you're in the correct console - you should be in the Amazon Q Developer console, not the general Amazon Q console. Also, verify you're in a supported AWS Region for Amazon Q Developer.

For a personal AWS account (standalone account), you have two main options for subscribing to Amazon Q Developer Pro:

1. Using your Builder ID: You can subscribe with your personal Builder ID. In VS Code, you would click on the Amazon Q icon in the sidebar, select "Use with Pro license," and follow the authentication process with your Builder ID. Then you'd complete the subscription process in the browser using your AWS root account.

2. Using IAM Identity Center: If you prefer to use IAM Identity Center, you need to have it set up in your standalone account. If you don't have it set up, Amazon Q Developer will install an account instance of IAM Identity Center when you subscribe the first user (yourself).

If you've recently subscribed but don't see the Pro features in VS Code, there might be a timing delay. Activation typically takes 30 minutes to 1 hour but can sometimes take up to 24 hours. Try signing out of Amazon Q in VS Code and signing back in with your Builder ID.

To verify your subscription status, check the Amazon Q Developer portal under the subscription menu to see if it shows an active subscription for your Builder ID.
