AWS Blu Age L3 Workshop Assess Codebase - Completion Step.

0

Hi all,

I am doing L3 self paced troubleshooting workshop. I am at Codebase assessment -> Assess codebase -> Completion Step. While I am trying to launch the dependency analysis, the video seem to be recorded in older version, which is having launch option, but in my scenario, I have analyze button with an option to upload .json document. I tried withe Analyze button without uploading any json document. But when I proceed like that there is a mismatch in the missing artifacts from the video to my local. It would be great if someone can guide me.

Thank you

  • You did the right thing by pressing "Analyse" to proceed because the video is based on an older version. From here if all your previous steps were successful, everything should be fine. Could you please explain what you exactly mean by this: "... there is a mismatch in the missing artifacts from the video to my local."?

  • @mabiock,

Thank you for replying. After I analyze and move to next steps in identifying missing nodes. I am getting more missing nodes compared to the provided video. I moved forward but I identified that the codebase node is not linking to another node. But in the video it is linking to another node while trying to use show one level.

The discrepancy you're experiencing between the workshop video and your actual environment is not uncommon with AWS Blu Age workshops. These differences often occur due to version updates in the tools since the workshop materials were created.

For the dependency analysis step, the interface has changed from having a "launch" option in the older version to now having an "analyze" button with an option to upload a JSON document. This is a normal evolution of the tool.

When you proceed with the "Analyze" button without uploading any JSON document, it's expected that you might see differences in the missing artifacts compared to what's shown in the video. These differences in line counts or identified artifacts between your environment and the workshop examples are generally acceptable and shouldn't significantly impact your progress through the workshop.

If you're concerned about these discrepancies affecting your workshop completion:

  1. Ensure you've downloaded the correct carddemo.zip file from the Share codebase step
  2. Verify that all files were extracted correctly
  3. Make sure your Transform Engine version matches the one specified in the workshop

As long as you can proceed with the subsequent steps without major issues, these small differences should not prevent you from completing the workshop successfully. If the differences become more significant in later steps, you might want to reach out to the AWS Blu Age support team for specific guidance based on the latest version of the workshop materials.
