Lightsail Container Service - What IP to use for DNS

0

I'm trying to connect my domain to a Lightsail Container Service. The DNS records are hosted at Cloudflare.

When running a VPS, I would usually update the DNS A-record to point to the static IP address for my server, but I can't work out how to attach a public static IP to my container service, and as far as I can tell the apex of a domain must point to an IP address.

Can this be achieved without moving my DNS service to Amazon?

I discovered a solution.

Cloudflare actually allows you to use a CNAME for the apex/root of your domain and it implements something it calls "CNAME flattening" to resolve the IP at the end of the chain.
