The error you're encountering suggests that there's an issue with the format of the Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR) repository URL in your build configuration. The problem appears to be an extra dot between "ecr" and "amazonaws" in the URL, which is causing the invalid reference format error.
This is likely a configuration issue in your project settings or environment variables. The correct format for an ECR repository URL should be:
111111111.dkr.ecr.amazonaws.com/pai:latest
To resolve this issue:
-
Check your project's configuration files, particularly any files that define environment variables or Docker-related settings.
-
Look for the ECR repository URL definition and ensure it has only one dot between "ecr" and "amazonaws".
-
If you're using environment variables to set the ECR repository URL, verify that the variable is correctly set without the extra dot.
-
If you're using AWS CLI or SDK to interact with ECR, make sure your AWS configuration is correct and up-to-date.
-
Double-check any scripts or commands that might be constructing the ECR repository URL to ensure they're not inadvertently adding an extra dot.
After making these checks and corrections, try running the build command again. If the issue persists, you may need to review the project's documentation or reach out to the project maintainers for specific guidance on configuring the ECR repository URL for this project.

I'd agree that in general for issues like these (and the similar cost estimate request question), creating a GitHub issue directly on the sample is probably an easier way to get help directly from the authors who know the sample best
