Performance Insights option missing

1

We have a MySQL RDS instance (t2.micro), and when attempting to modify the instance, the option to enable/disable Performance insights is not present among the options. At the top of the section "Additional configuration" it says "Performance Insights enabled", but the option is not there. Also, it is possible to select Performance Insights in the Monitoring section of the instance, but the carts are empty in the Performance Insights view. Any suggestions of how to solve this?

Best regards
Max

  • I have the same problem, I want to upgrade my engine motor (t3.medium, with performance insight enable) from 9.02 to 9.10, It says that I cant because performance insight is enable. They tell me that I need to disable performance insight first, but I cant because the option doesn't appear in the user interface. What is the process that I should follow to upgrade to 9.10 and keeping my t3 instance (even if it mean that I will loose performance insight). I will upgrade my instance from t3 later on, now I just want to upgrade the engine

Hi,

For MySQL RDS, performance insights aren't available on the small and micro instance sizes. There are also engine requirements. Found here: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonRDS/latest/UserGuide/USER_PerfInsights.Overview.Engines.html

"8.0.17 and higher 8.0 versions, version 5.7.22 and higher 5.7 versions, and version 5.6.41 and higher 5.6 versions.

Not supported on the following DB instance classes: db.t2.micro, db.t2.small, db.t3.micro, and db.t3.small."
