AWS toolkit Eclipse plugin

I was not able to use this plugin in the latest version of Spring Tool suite for MacBook ARM, I was able to do the setup and see the features and perspective but when I try to connect to an AWS account the eclipse got stuck and crashed, I tried different options and I can conclude that the plugin is not working, at least for this Eclipse STS.

Not sure if the plugin is up to date or if it was discontinued, anyone can help me here?, any recommended eclipse version ti be used? or should I move to Visual Studio Code?
