[BUG REPORT] AWS Payments page redirecting into loops to sign in

0

There is a flaw in the AWS billing and payment page for suspended account which has blocked one of our account as well.

  1. I go to Amazon Web Services Sign In where it shows below message "Authentication failed because your account has been suspended. If you believe your account was suspended due to non-payment of outstanding balance due on your account, you can pay now using the Payments to reactivate your account. If you do not pay or provide a payment method to resolve your outstanding balance, your account resources may be terminated.

If your account was suspended for reasons other than non-payment of outstanding dues, contact AWS customer support Contact Us"

  1. I go to payments, where it asks - Choose your AWS session Sign into new session You have 1 active sessions in the AWS console. Choose one you want to use to view this link.

  1. When I select above account, it takes me back to 1st step. "Amazon Web Services Sign In Authentication failed because your account has been suspended.

If you believe your account was suspended due to non-payment of outstanding balance due on your account, you can pay now using the Payments to reactivate your account. If you do not pay or provide a payment method to resolve your outstanding balance, your account resources may be terminated.

Please look into this asap!

I understand your frustration with the login loop you're experiencing with your suspended AWS account. This is a known issue that some customers face when trying to access their suspended accounts to make payments.

When an AWS account is suspended due to non-payment, you should be able to access the payments page to clear outstanding balances, but sometimes users get caught in a redirect loop like the one you're describing.

Here are the steps you should take to resolve this issue:

  1. Contact AWS Support directly through the "Contact Us" link provided in the suspension message. Since this appears to be a technical issue preventing you from accessing the payments page, you'll need manual intervention from AWS Support.

  2. When contacting support, clearly explain:

  • The redirect loop you're experiencing
  • That you're trying to make a payment to reactivate your account
  • Include your account number and any relevant details
  1. If you have access to another AWS account, you can also try to create a support case through that account.

  2. While waiting for a response, you might try:

  • Using a different web browser
  • Clearing your browser cache and cookies
  • Using incognito/private browsing mode

Unfortunately, this type of account reactivation often requires manual intervention from the AWS Support team, which can take some time (typically up to 24 hours or more). Even after making a payment, account reactivation isn't always automatic and may require verification from AWS.

The support team should be able to either help you access the payments page or provide an alternative method to clear your outstanding balance and reactivate your account.
