Where to find credentials for my database

0

I just created an RDS with Amazon web services but when I tried to connect with Heidi I got a connection error. I'm almost certain the login credentials are correct both the user name and password I just needed to know where do I fetch the hostname/ip

If you open the RDS in question, it’s the first tab (Connectivity & Security)

The Endpoint is the host name you need.

If you need too, you can modify the RDS instance and reset the Admin password if needed.

  • Sorry I've tried to connect to the endpoint as well as the Amazon Resource Name

I have created an aurora and MySQL database and I can't connect to either of them from within Heidi

  • Ok. Need more information here. How are you connecting to AWS from Hedi? When you resolve the name via NSLookup do you get a public or private IP? How is your security group configured?

I figured it out by adding a vps and setting the database to public access I can now connect with Heidi and laravel
