Hi, I've had an Ec2 instance for years now, but only in the last 2 months have I been charged for a VPS entry which I can't understand why it's charged now and not in the previous months? Thanks

Hello there,

I apologize for the unexpected charges. AWS began billing for Public IPv4 addresses as of February 1, 2024. You can read the details in Jeff Barr's blog post from July of 2023:
