SNS Transactional OTP message issue?

0
  1. I have registered on the Airtel DLT portal and verify the template and sender id. Then requested sender id by creating case in AWS and they shared the sender id.
  2. I have configured the SENDER ID in SNS (Mobile text messaging (SMS)) Default Sender ID. After configuration try to send OTP sms via Cognito default flow. But getting error like Phone carrier has blocked this message. If I don't use remove the sender id from SNS(Mobile Text messaging(SMS)) setting then. It working perfectly fine. What I want is to use the India local route to send the SMS.

More INFO: Sender ID registered in Airtel DLT platform is sms Type as Service Implicit. But AWS supports Transactional and Promotional Sms types. But Transactional sms types are used by banks to send OTP sms to users. How I can resolve this issue and make use of sender id.

If required any other info feel free to ask.

Hi Kisan,

For AWS SNS - there are downstream providers and mobile carriers involved and downstream issues can be the reason for the same being blocked.

Since the complete architecture cannot be investigated through your console and AWS support might be able to escalate it with the downstream providers for you - request you to go ahead and raise a support case as per the process mentioned here - https://docs.aws.amazon.com/awssupport/latest/user/case-management.html
