Hello,
- Double-check copied auth code (no typos, spaces).
- Confirm transfer email from Route 53 (if applicable).
- Contact Route 53 support for code validity or regeneration.
Here Providing step by step process to resolve your issue refer Below Document:

So, the solution was to create a case under "Account and billing". This was possible without a support plan. They re-created the auth code and now it works.

Thanks for the answer. I've double-checked everything. Unfortunately I'm not able to contact support, since I haven't purchased a support plan.
Since the transfers worked for other domains, there must be a technical issue on AWS side, which is annoying. Is there any other way to file an issue? It is not justifiable to have to buy support if it is a bug.
ok,
