Instances - Amazon Connect

0

Hello, I hope you have a good day, I wanted to ask you a question because I am watching Amazon Connect to see how it is used and I started to create 2 instances that I later deleted. When I want to create a new instance it tells me that my account exceeded the number of instances created but I don't currently have any. I found this post where it said that I could have created them in another region, but I checked all the regions and I don't have any

https://repost.aws/questions/QUmQ3IlkrATiiOueta90esJQ/quota-limit-reached-for-number-of-instance-but-there-is-no-any-instances

I clarify that my account is free.

The default maximum number of Amazon Connect instances for your account is 2 https://docs.aws.amazon.com/connect/latest/adminguide/amazon-connect-service-limits.html#connect-quotas

In AWS Console verifty the current value for your account https://console.aws.amazon.com/servicequotas/home/services/connect/quotas

This is across all regions that Amazon Connect is available in (which is a subset of all regions) https://docs.aws.amazon.com/connect/latest/adminguide/regions.html#amazonconnect_region

Have you checked all of these regions and you don't have Amazon Connect instances running in any of them?

Also, it sounds unlikely but could you have exceeded this limit? https://docs.aws.amazon.com/connect/latest/adminguide/feature-limits.html

ItemFeature specification
Limit on creating and deleting instances100 instances can be created or deleted in 30 days

Amazon Connect enforces a limit on the total number of instances that you can create and delete in 30 days. If you exceed this limit, you will get an error message indicating there has been an excessive number of attempts at creating or deleting instances. You must wait 30 days before you can restart creating and deleting instances in your account.

For example, if you create 80 instances and delete 20 over the course of 30 days, you must wait an additional 30 days before you can create or delete any more instances. If you create and delete the same instance 100 times in 30 days, the limit also applies.

  • Hello, this is the answer that answers my question well. I appreciate your time posting all the links above. I will have to wait 30 days for my instance counter to reset. Greetings !

Hi,

check the service quota for EC2 instances in your account to see if it didn't come down to zero, which would explain your issue.

You reach it via Service Quotas > Dashboard on the AWS console

Best,

Didier

  • I checked in all regions and it is at 0. Having deleted the created instances, it would have to give me back my possibilities of creating others again, but well I couldn't find documents that warned me

I would recommend creating a support ticket for this issue.

  • I wanted to create a ticket for support, but since it is a free account (I'm seeing how things work), it won't allow me.
