Teams Video is not working on Amazon Workspaces when accessed from Mac client.

0

I have a user that is accessing their Workspace from a 2-year-old Mac using the latest Workspaces client. When trying to use video in a Teams meeting, the video screen is gray. Their microphone works and they can see video of the other parties. I have confirmed that their camera does function outside the Workspace. Here are the specifics:

MacBook that is fully patched - Confirmed that camera and microphone function outside the Workspace.

Protocol WSP

Windows 10 Workspace - fully patched

Current version of Microsoft Teams

Confirmed client settings meet recommendations in Workspaces User Guide

User has 1gig connection and confirmed that they had plenty of bandwidth via speedtest.net

No other users have reported this problem, but most of my users use their Workspace as a 2nd machine. This workspace will be primary for this user.

Have you verified expired Verisign/Symantec certificate on the client computer ? If not then follow these steps: On the Mac client computer, not the WorkSpace itself, open the Network and Internet settings in System Preferences.

Find and remove any expired Verisign/Symantec certificates.

Launch the WorkSpaces client application again and try joining the Teams meeting. The video should now work.

Additional insights:

Ensure the Mac client is running a supported version of the WorkSpaces client application. Version 2.5.11 and earlier no longer work on macOS 10.15 Catalina or later. Check that the Mac meets the minimum system requirements for using Amazon WorkSpaces.
