Account suspended - Payments link loops back to same error, front-line support unhelpful - How do I escalate?

Hi Community,

My AWS account has been suspended due to Free Tier credits being exhausted. My website customfitforme.com has been down since 14th March 2026 as a result and I am desperate for a resolution.

This is NOT a sign-in issue. I successfully authenticate with my passkey every time and get past MFA. Immediately after authentication I land on this error:

"Authentication failed because your account has been suspended."

The problem is I cannot do anything from this screen:

  • The Payments link loops back to the same suspension error instead of redirecting to the payments portal
  • I cannot access Billing, Support Center, or any other console page
  • Every self-service link AWS support sends me requires being logged in, which the suspension is blocking

This appears to be a known bug with the payments redirect on suspended accounts as I have seen others report the same issue here on re:Post.

I have now raised 8+ support cases and keep receiving templated responses telling me to log in or clear my cache, neither of which resolves the issue. The only progress made was one agent escalating to AWS leadership, but I am still waiting for a response.

Has anyone experienced this and found a way to break this loop? Is there a direct route to the AWS billing or account reinstatement team that bypasses front-line support?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Sorry to hear that your account was suspended. I located your active case on my end and shared your feedback internally with Support for visibility. Please refrain from creating duplicate cases for the same issue, as this can make tracking correspondence difficult, and Support will route you back to the original case.

I do see Support is actively working your case, so allow them time to respond with the next steps to take, and continue to monitor your inbox for updates.
