EC2 instance stuck in "shutting-down"

Hello, My EC2 instance i-0bde7222f1f949e94 is stuck in state "shutting-down". Can you please terminate/reboot it? Thanks

Hello,

The instance has now moved to a stopped state, you can go ahead and start the instance again.

The reason as to why the instance failed the status checks was because the underlying hardware had become impaired.

The following are examples of problems that can cause system status checks to fail:

  • Loss of network connectivity
  • Loss of system power
  • Software issues on the physical host
  • Hardware issues on the physical host that impact network reachability
