Need to change my region, not sure how! (Using Sendy)

0

Hi, for years I've used SES with no issues, I've recently moved my server stuff to a Uk based server, and when using Sendy, I'm experiencing significant delays when previewing draft emails.

The makers of Sendy have suggested this is because the server is located in the UK but my SES region is Oregan and that I should change to the Irish region.

I'm not sure how to do this, and not sure if doing it once I've figured it out will mean I can no longer send bulk emails via the SES servers without going to some additional procedures (like new verification etc.)

I wonder if there is anyone who can offer some guidance?

In case it's not known about, Sendy is an email creation and distribution server-based tool that connects to my ASES account to send the newsletters.

Any help/advice gratefully received.

Thanks

Steve.

Amazon SES has endpoints in multiple AWS Regions, and the verification status of the email address is separate for each region. If you want to send email from the same identity in more than one region, you must verify that identity in each region.

Hi! I also use Sendy but only for about a week. I can't even get them to bring me out of sandbox! How does this help you? well... I just went through all the stuff you're discussing while trying to get mine going.

The first reply is correct, you WILL have to verify and do all the hoops again but you begin that in the upper right-hand corner and choose your region. You can't do it from support so you will have to go back to the home area and then re-begin.

In other words things like your ID, your sending info, DKIM, etc.

Which means if you are reading this and you look up to the right you will see My Account/Console. That's where you start and then from there just proceed as if you were new. In fact, I found it was easiest to just literally begin as if I knew nothing and always started each new page I encountered with a mouse-trip to the upper right-hand corner on each page (just in case it was needed). It seemed like even then I kept forgetting to check each one.

Honestly though if you stick with it, it won't be overwhelming.

Maybe I will shoot a little screen-capture video of how.

Best of luck,
Sage
