Amazon Aurora DSQL is currently available in preview. It was announced on December 3, 2024, and is accessible in select AWS Regions. During the preview period, Aurora DSQL is available at no charge. The preview is available in the following AWS Regions: US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), and US West (Oregon).
As this is a preview release, AWS has not yet announced an exact date for general availability. Typically, AWS services go through a preview phase to gather feedback and ensure the service meets customer needs before becoming generally available. Interested users can start using Aurora DSQL now through the Aurora DSQL console, API, or AWS CLI.
It's important to note that as a preview service, Aurora DSQL may undergo changes and improvements based on user feedback before its general release. Users are encouraged to stay updated with AWS announcements for information on when Aurora DSQL will transition from preview to general availability.
