AWS Virtual Tape Library - Specific NICs for different traffic

0

I'm running a local ESX VTL with two network interfaces. ETH0 is the general purpose server network, and has access to the internet and AWS. ETH1 is my iscsi network and does not have internet access. Is there a way to bind iscsi traffic to ETH1 only?

Hello, I'm Mike with the Storage Gateway team.

There isn't a way from the gateway to bind the iSCSI traffic to a specific NIC. You can, however, affect the same result by simply giving your iSCSI initiator the IP address of ETH1 only. As long as your iSCSI initiator only connects to the SGW's ETH1 address, all iSCSI traffic will be confined to that NIC.

Please let me know if you have any further questions. Mike H.
