DNS address could not be found. Diagnosing the problem. DNS_PROBE_POSSIBLE | Non-Existent Domain

0

Hi,

  1. Have my website hosted on EC2 on 3000 port
  2. Bought new domain from aws
  3. Added route with record type A to point to EC2 IP (tried with www. and without prefix)
  4. Even tried with CNAME (www) pointing to A
  5. While launching website it says "DNS address could not be found. Diagnosing the problem. DNS_PROBE_POSSIBLE "
  6. There is option to Test Record it says "Non-Existent Domain"

Verified registered domain name and hosted zone name are same

Also found that no named server are assigned to my domain that was registered

Please add NS records to your domain, you can follow the guide here: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/Route53/latest/DeveloperGuide/domain-name-servers-glue-records.html

the name servers you will add are the ones listed in your public hosted zone for the same domain.

Please feel free to comment if this does not resolve your issue so we can further troubleshoot.

Issue was my registered domain does not had a named server, so have copied named server from hosted zone to registered domain and it worked.
