Account Suspension Timeline

0

Today I received an e-mail regarding non-payment.

Just want to know the account suspension process.

  1. How many e-mail notifications, and when do they get sent?
  2. How long before account suspension?

I understand that:

  • If your account isn't reactivated within 30 days of suspension, then your account will be closed.
  • If your account isn't reactivated within 90 days of closure, then your account is terminated.

Hi there!

I appreciate your query, while I'm not able to answer all of your questions due to them concerning internal processes, I'll do my utmost to help!

  1. 'How many e-mail notifications, and when do they get sent?'
  • I can't confirm the exact amount of emails sent as this is shared via an Automated. Generally an email is shared once we have confirmation of your 1st Bill being unpaid, additional emails are then sent automatically.
  1. How long before account suspension?
  • An account suspension can take place at any time during the month, if there are unpaid bills.

'If your account isn't reactivated within 30 days of suspension, then your account will be closed.'

  • While this is true, it will still be possible to open cases from your Support Center, and also work with our account and billing team to reinstate your account.

'If your account isn't reactivated within 90 days of closure, then your account is terminated.'

  • This is correct, once account has been closed it will not be possible to have it reinstated and you won't be able to utilize the same email address when opening a new account.

I hope this info helps, but please feel free to open please open a case in your Support Center to our Account & Billing Team if you have further questions: go.aws/support-center.
