Hello Tursas,
Deleting doesn't not seem to be an option with free tier.
Can you consider creating a case with the AWS support team to get some workaround on this. Deleting the AWS account itself won't be necessary, it would be helpful to try resolving this by reaching out to AS support team.
Based on the error message you're receiving, it appears that deleting an RDS Proxy is not supported on the Free Tier plan. This is a limitation of the Free Tier account type.
When you have an RDS Proxy, it creates requester-managed VPC endpoints that cannot be deleted directly by users. These endpoints are managed by AWS on your behalf, which is why you're unable to delete your VPC resources while the proxy exists.
Unfortunately, the error message is quite clear that to delete the RDS Proxy, you would need to upgrade your account plan. This is a specific limitation of the Free Tier.
Your options appear to be:
- Temporarily upgrade your account to delete the RDS Proxy and then return to Free Tier
- Contact AWS Support to see if they can assist with this specific situation
- If this is a sandbox/test account and you're willing to start fresh, closing the account might be an option
If you decide to upgrade your account temporarily, you would then be able to delete the RDS Proxy through the AWS Management Console by:
- Opening the Amazon RDS console
- Choosing "Proxies" in the navigation pane
- Selecting the proxy you want to delete
- Choosing "Delete Proxy"
Alternatively, if you have access to the AWS CLI, you could use the delete-db-proxy command once your account is upgraded.
