Case ID: ******12200688 I opened this case 7 days ago but nobody responded and even unassigned. my account number is 931208603979 and my name is Saw Ko Ko Oo. my credicard number is ******1522. I have been charged 1515 dollars for my AWS services. I didn't intend to use it for anything. I just opened these AWS services and I deleted AWS services after I used it always. I saw some of the AWS services can't be deleted and I am just a student. I just checked AWS console for study. you can see my account and I don't use it for anything. please give me back my money as soon as possible because I have to pay for my tutition fees in australia. I am just a student in australia. I was charged for the services that I don't even look at it. This is daylight robbery.

Hello,

To find more details on unexpected charges within your AWS environment, this doc should answer your questions: go.aws/resources-unexpected-charges.

In the meantime, I've shared your concerns with our team internally. Please keep an eye out for further communication via your case.

I understand your concern about unexpected AWS charges. This is a common issue that can happen even when you believe you're not actively using services. Here are some possible explanations for why you might have been charged despite thinking you deleted everything:

  1. Some resources might have been created automatically during account setup or exploration.
  2. You might have resources running in AWS regions you haven't checked.
  3. Some resources can continue to generate costs even when not actively used - for example, stopped (but not terminated) EC2 instances may still incur charges for associated EBS volumes or Elastic IP addresses.
  4. Simply stopping services doesn't always stop all charges - you need to properly terminate or delete resources.

Regarding your support case that hasn't received a response:

The best course of action is to follow up directly with AWS Support by creating a new billing support case if your previous one was unassigned. Billing support is available free of charge. When contacting support:

  1. Explain that you're a student who was exploring AWS for educational purposes
  2. Detail that you've attempted to delete resources but may have missed some
  3. Request a review of your account for any running resources
  4. Ask for consideration of a refund given your student status and the unintended usage

While AWS typically doesn't offer refunds for used services, they often take a customer-friendly approach, especially for students and in cases of genuine mistakes. For future protection, consider setting up AWS Budgets and billing alerts to notify you when you're incurring costs.
