We are currently exploring solutions to support advanced voice capabilities for our application, and we would like to understand how AWS services—particularly Amazon Polly or any related offerings—can support our use case. Specifically, we are evaluating Nova Sonic for the following features:

Support for Indian Accent We need a voice that sounds natural and locally relevant to users in India. Our goal is to provide a high-quality text-to-speech experience with an Indian English accent using Nova Sonic or similar neural voice capabilities.

Multilingual Support Our application serves a diverse user base across India and beyond. We require support for generating speech in multiple languages—such as Hindi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, and others—with natural, expressive voices. We are particularly interested in whether Nova Sonic can be used to generate speech in these regional languages or if there are any other AWS TTS models better suited for this.

Voice Simulation for Specific Individuals We are exploring whether AWS services can help simulate a particular individual's voice (with appropriate consent and legal compliance). The idea is to clone or stimulate a specific speaker's voice using Nova Sonic, and generate speech dynamically. This would be used in scenarios such as virtual assistants or branded customer service voices.

We would appreciate guidance on:

Whether these capabilities are currently supported via Amazon Polly, Amazon Bedrock, or any other AWS AI/ML service.

If Nova Sonic supports any of the above features or if there are plans to expand its capabilities.
