How does Continuous Backup work?

0

Hi everyone, I would like to know how the continuous backup functionality of DynamoDB works. Are there events that are triggering a backup or is there anything else that is causing a backup?

No, there are no events. As the name implies continuous backups is doing just that, continually backing up the database to a secure location on your behalf. You do not have to manage anything for the backups to happen once you enable it.

If you want to trigger an on-demand full backup manually or automatically via AWS Backups you can, but that is outside of continuous backups with point in time recovery.
