There is no evidence to suggest that the AWS Cloud Practitioner exam is easier in English than in Japanese, or vice versa. AWS offers certification exams in multiple languages to accommodate candidates worldwide, but the content and difficulty level are intended to be consistent across all language versions.
However, your observation about the Japanese exam sometimes being difficult to understand due to potentially AI-translated content is an interesting point. If you are truly bilingual and comfortable with technical terminology in English, you might find the English version more straightforward and natural to understand. This is because the exam was likely originally written in English and then translated into other languages.
Ultimately, the choice between taking the exam in English or Japanese should depend on which language you feel most comfortable with for technical content. If you find that you generally understand AWS documentation and cloud computing concepts better in English, it might be beneficial to take the exam in English. On the other hand, if you're more comfortable with technical terms in Japanese, that version might be preferable.
Remember, regardless of the language you choose, the exam content and difficulty level should be equivalent. Focus on thoroughly preparing for the exam topics rather than trying to find an "easier" language version.

I agree that the Japanese examinations are sometimes challenging to understand due to linguistic problems.
The difficulty level of the questions is the same for both the English and the Japanese examinations. Therefore, if you are a native Japanese speaker, I recommend taking the Japanese exam.
This is because, in the Japanese exam, you can temporarily change the questions and answer options to English, meaning you can read in both languages.
Another thing that may sway your decision is that if English is not your first language (even if you are fluent enough that you consider yourself fully bi-lingual), if you choose to take the exam in English as a non-native speaker you can get an extra 30 minutes https://aws.amazon.com/certification/policies/before-testing/#Requesting_Accommodations
English as a second language
A 30-minute exam extension is available upon request to non-native English speakers when taking an exam in English.
I’m bilingual as well, and I’ve heard similar feedback from other test-takers. Many say the Japanese version can feel more difficult—not because the content is harder, but because the translation sometimes uses overly formal or unnatural phrasing. Since the original exam is written in English, questions tend to feel more straightforward in that language. If you’re comfortable reading technical English, I’d personally recommend taking the English version—it often leads to less confusion during the exam.
Good luck on your certification journey!
