My customer is implementing logging/monitoring around ELB Access and asking if AWS has any best practices to share. Specifically they want to know best practices around external ELB vs internal ELBs. Do we have any documents to share?

For logging/monitoring customers could make use of the metrics available through CloudWatch. There is also a re:Invent video that dives deep into ELB and its best practices.
