implementing a dummy screen driver for ec2

0

Hello, I've been working on a cloud gaming platform for a while now. The problem is that I'm trying to move my servers to aws specifically ec2. I was wondering if anyone would know how to add a dummy screen driver to trick windows to think there's still a screen. I'm asking as I use the windows api to take screenshots of the current game which doesn't work when you aren't connected by remote desktop. Would anyone know how to fix this?

Not sure how your software works, I guess what you need is access to Windows console. When you connect with remote desktop, it uses a separate display with Microsoft Remote Desktop Adapter instead of console's Microsoft default basic adapter. When you disconnect, the windows console screen is locked.

You can try Amazon DCV which connects to Windows console. Documentation at Installing the Amazon DCV Server on Windows
