Connectivity Issues for Chinese Users Accessing Service Deployed in the Korea Region

0

Our service is deployed through the Korea region and is used by users in both Korea and China. While we are not experiencing any noticeable issues with our Korean users, we are seeing sporadic connectivity issues with our Chinese users. These issues manifest as an inability to access the homepage, but they are not uniformly experienced across China - they appear to be limited to users in certain regions of China.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues or know of any potential solutions to resolve this regional connectivity issue?

Chinese users may face complicated connectivity problems because of local internet laws and network configurations. Depending on the local regulations, you can deploy a portion of your services in China via local cloud services, use Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) with points of presence there, or optimize for latency. Certain bottlenecks can be located with the use of monitoring technologies. It could be helpful to localize resources by taking into account services like Amazon EKS Anywhere, but be aware of any regulatory constraints. Working with local ISPs for direct connect services could be helpful for a more thorough solution.
