Mobile phone account loses data

Good Afternoon

I look at my AWS emails both on my mobile phone and on my work PC desktop.

Last week I realised there was no data on my mobile phone in either my AWS email, nor in my calendar, nor contact list, all of which of course replicate to my phone.

Is this a usual kind of glitch?

Does anybody have any experience of this and can tell me what is going on?

Hi Andy,

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing problems with syncing data on your mobile phone. Are your still experiencing problems? If so can you pm which user has the problem and what was the last time you tried to sync your device? I will forward that information to the service team for investigation.

Good morning and thank you

The user is me.

And it happened for a 2nd time last night - around 21:30 hours, UK time - I went to my phone to look to see what was going on an email and it told me that it was synchronising in the email box on the phone was blank

The same thing has happened yet again this evening - my calendar date on my phone is completely blank - what is going on!

The email. Data is there is all fine, so it is just the calendar data

Why no response to my email on July 26!!!!!!!

Sorry for the wait. We're still working on a fix. In the meantime the service has been updated for other situations as well, however this requires for Android phones to reconfigure the account as the mobile software doesn't pick up this change automatically. It might be worthwhile to try this and see if this helps.

Hi Andy,

the fix was deployed to us-west-2. Could you please try to:

  1. delete the account from the phone
  2. add it again (so, the data is reloaded)

Let us know, if the phone is syncing fine now...

Good morning,

Thank you.

There is a problem with my android phone in that the calendar is complicated with an account for a number of the accounts I have on that phone.

So making sure I only use the account associated with my AWS email account has simplified matters and shown up some errors.

It has deleted itself and re-synced 2 or 3 times since I last posted, but it seems to happen straight away that I notice is gone, so not too much inconvenience
