I can't verify one of my email address identities!

What could be the reason for an email identity failing to verify? All other email addresses we have (under the same domain) are verified. It's an email we receive mail to, and also send out. We clicked the confirmation link in the email sent to us but the email address is still in a pending Verification state.

What should we do?
