Mediapackage Asset Jitter

0

Hello! We have some assets on Mediapackage (with DRM) where in some point of playing the video, we have a jitter/glitchy. But playing the source is normal. Another wired thing is reacreating the asset, with the exactly same source and config, it's perfect. Also comparing the manifest output from the asset, they are exactly the same, but the first one has jitter and the recreated doesn't. Any ideia where I should start investigating ?

The first step would be to identify the cause of the jitter/glitchy. You can do this by checking the system logs or performance metrics of your Mediapackage, as well as any other relevant system data that might provide clues as to why the jitter/glitchy is occurring. You may also want to check the output of the asset itself to see if there are any differences between the original and recreated assets, such as incorrect settings or encoding errors. Once you identify the cause, you can then take steps to resolve the issue.

Can you clarify your workflow? It is unclear what is being compared. Is the input to MediaPackage stored in S3? Is it an HLS or DASH asset? Is MediaPackage being used to provide the DRM encryption? What DRM? Are you using CDN to pull from MediaPackage and deliver to the players?

Perhaps you can test pulling through MediaPackage without the DRM encryption. Compare MediaPackage output vs CDN output for both unencrypted and encrypted tests. Also, you may want to review the MediaPackage CloudWatch logs to see if there are errors indicated.
