Unfortunately, there should be no information announced by AWS yet as to when it will be supported.

That is pretty shame. I suppose I will have to wait until they upgrade. Does it happen to know after how much time do they bring a major version to RDS?
Looking at the table in the following document, it is possible that the support will be provided in six months to a year, based on the interval of support so far.
