Hello,

CloudFront edge locations are grouped into geographic regions, and we’ve grouped regions into price classes. Higher the price class means more number of edge locations. And invalidating the file means removing that file from all edge caches.

So, higher the price class, the invalidation of files will take little longer to remove files from more number of edge caches. As such, there is no impact on the CloudFront performance.

You can submit a first 1,000 invalidation paths each month for free. If you submit more than the allotted number of invalidation paths in a month, you pay a fee for each invalidation path that you submit. Please refer: Paying for file invalidation - https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonCloudFront/latest/DeveloperGuide/Invalidation.html#PayingForInvalidation

Thank you!
