As mentioned in the AWS documentation for Closing an account - during the post-closure period the billing for On-Demand charges stops. However, you're billed for any usage that has accrued up until the time you closed your account. In addition, if you purchased any subscriptions with ongoing payment obligations, you might continue to be charged for them after your account is closed. So always terminate everything, delete resources, take backups before you close the account. ref: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/accounts/latest/reference/manage-acct-closing.html?sc_channel=el&sc_campaign=costwave&sc_content=cloud-account-fundamentals&sc_geo=mult&sc_country=mult&sc_outcome=acq

Hi - I have a customer looking to close one of their accounts, which is billing the APN annual program fee. Does this APN fee count as an "on-demand" charge that will automatically be stopped once the account is closed, or do they have to manually opt out of the APN membership? Thanks!
