AWS RDS MYSQL upgrade issue with default uppercase database name

We have created a db name with upper case i.e default database when creating the RDS MYSQL, which is 5.7 version. Now we want to upgrade to Version Mysql 8.0. we are getting issue with upper case database name. tried to drop the table with privileged user but unable to drop the table, So unable to update the Mysql version from 5.7 to 8.9. Can you please help on this issue.
