domain registration email wont come through

I set up a new domain on route 53 and never got an email to verify the domain. I have verified its correct, tried changing it to other emails, checked my spam and hit the "resend" button multiple times. But it still will not come through. any thoughts why?

This is likely related to a domain registration issue, so I recommend opening a case with AWS Support under "Account and billing."
"Account and billing" inquiries are free of charge.

By the way, when I registered a domain with Route53 in the past, I received an email within a few minutes.
