EC2 regional data transfer - in/out/between EC2 AZs question.

0

I have an EC2 instance in ap-northeast-1a, and my service is a trading program, so it will receive the market data from crypto exchange.

I find this in my bill:

$0.01 per GB - regional data transfer - in/out/between EC2 AZs or using elastic IPs or ELB 2,105.549 GB USD 21.06

It seems the network traffic is between different AZs? But I think they should in the same AZ ap-northeast-1a. The exchange only provides me some endpoints IPs, like 13.231.16.111, 52.195.97.237, 35.79.210.43. How to verify the real AZ of these IPs and avoid the cross AZ data transfer fee?

  • This doesn't slove my problem, it only show me there's some inter AZ traffic, but I don't know the detail. More specific, my EC2 instance is at AZ ap-northeast-1a, I want to know this inter AZ traffic is come from ap-northeast-1b or ap-northeast-1c. The Cost Explorer doesn't show me that.
