If your e-mail isn't spammy, and I assume it is not, else you would not be posting this here, then a likely cause of this is that you have not enabled DKIM and published DKIM and SPF records authenticating your e-mail.
While it isn't necessary to authenticate your e-mail with DKIM or publish SPF records, many recipients will consider your e-mail to me more likely spam if you don't.
Please read and configure these in your DNS and enable DKIM on your SES identity - https://docs.aws.amazon.com/ses/latest/dg/email-authentication-methods.html
