Dynamodb estimation for capacity reservation

Hi Team, My customer is planning to buy dynamodb capacity reservations and wanted to make sure he is purchasing correct amount of capacity. Is there any standard/reference document for estimating the right capacity for reservation based on historical usage? We can consider the average values but just wanted to make sure is there any best practice document for correct estimates.

Averages are usually good as you don't want to over reserve and pay for more than you use. There are efforts to create a tool to help with capacity recommendations however I have no ETA on that.
